Circuit City wasn't giving away anything

I went to Circuit City yesterday, the big-box retailer that's going out of business. They claim to be practically "giving away" their items. And that includes the shelves themselves. I was in the market for a set of car speakers.

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed, as they weren't giving away the items I was looking for, or anything else for that matter. Most of the items were 33% off, but that's one-third off the original selling price. Hence, the actual final price was just about the same as the sale prices in all the other stores. And if you have a problem with a Circuit City purchase, I assume you're out of luck.
