1997 Embedded Market Survey
Produced by Embedded Systems Programming magazine and the Embedded Systems Conference, the 1997 Embedded Market Survey reveals what devices, programming languages, and tools subscribers were buying in 1997. Back in 1997 the survey was conducted by mail by disk (a disk-by-mail survey). Impressive, I know. The incentive was a crisp two-dollar bill, mailed along with the disk and the postage-paid return disk mailer. (Now the survey is purely web-based.) Click here to download the PDF. and see how far (or how little) we've come in 15 years.
I have yet to find the PowerPoint version of this study, but this text version also all the info without the colorful graphs.
1997 Embedded Market Survey is part of Embedded.com's archive. Registration is required to access this content but registration is free and your willingness to register and participate on the site helps Embedded.com stay viable. Please register.
