NEWS: ERTS2 sets record for submissions

ERTS2 2010, the European Congress on Embedded Real-Time Software and Systems conference has attracted a record number of paper submissions with a number coming from the US and the UK.

The event, which will be held in Toulouse, France on May 19 - 21, will also have a panel which will discuss the maintenance of patients at homes.

In addition, the Le Club des Grandes Entreprises de l'Embarqu (CG2E) will make the first public presentation of its work a and will have a special focus on the various safety standards related to embedded systems.

Other events being held at the same venue as ERTS2 include on May 17 a day on modeling and safety systems organized by INRIA-Industries while the 2nd Open Source Software Industry Forum (OSSIF) on May 18 will be dedicated to open source with a special focus on embedded systems. The seventh edition of Neptune days on May 18 - 19 will address the model driven engineering.

Keynote speakers at ERTS2 will be Jean Botti, Chief Technical Officer, EADS; Hermann Kopetz, Vienna University of Technology; and Rudolf Haggenm¼ller, chairman of ITEA 2.
