Cadence Announces Merged Cadence/Orcad Family Products On Single CD.
San Jose, CA--April 5, 2000--Cadence Design Systems, Inc. announced an integratedsolution of Cadence printed circuit board (PCB) and Orcadtechnology on a single CD. The CD contains the entire PCB Studio Series and PCB Expert Seriesfamily of products.
To streamline time-to-use, Cadence is offering product and license options that canbe installed from a single source.
"This is the first time that combined Cadence and Orcad customers have had theopportunity to easily view and install a complete PCB solution fromone media," said Keith Felton, product marketing director, Cadence PCB Systems Division.
"This release is another major step in achieving the promise ofintegration of the two companies," said Mike Bosworth, senior vicepresident of Cadence Design Systems and head of the PCB SystemsDivision.
The CD includes Capture CIS schematic design andcomponent information management system, PSpice A/D mixed-signalsimulation software, Specctraquest high-speed design software,Allegro layout software, and Specctra autorouter.
It will be available within 30 days. The Cadence PCB ExpertSeries is supported on Windows NT and Unix-based workstations. Pricingvaries based on configuration. The Cadence PCB Studio Series issupported on Windows NT and is priced at $9,995.
