Cadence Design Systems is now offering Automotive Ethernet Design IP and Verification IP (VIP) for the automotive Ethernet Controllers that support the latest automotive extensions as defined by the OPEN Alliance Special Interest Group (SIG).

It is designed to support and take advantage of a growing trend in the automotive industry towards Ethernet for in-vehicle networking based on IEEE standards driven by the OPEN Alliance SIG to develop a simpler and more powerful Automotive Electrical/Electronic Architecture.

Developers using the Cadence Ethernet VIP can automate complex conformance tests of the automotive Ethernet protocol and take advantage of advanced verification methodologies. The use of such tools can significantly shorten the overall testbench development time resulting in increased verification productivity.

Cadence Ethernet IP is UNH-tested and silicon-proven in many high-volume commercial products. Leveraging membership and participation in the OPEN Alliance SIG and IEEE 802.3 and 802.1 standards community, Cadence continues to upgrade its IP solution to give customers the highest confidence in their Ethernet solutions.
