ARC in take-over talks

EE Times Europe
LONDON — ARC International plc (St, Albans, England), a licensor of configurable processor cores, has confirmed that it is in discussions which may result in an offer being made for the company. ARC made a regulatory announcement after its share price started on climb on Wednesday (July 29).

"The discussions are at a preliminary stage and there can be no certainty that an offer will be made for ARC or as to the terms on which any offer would be made. A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate," the company said in the statement.

The share price had been at 11.5 pence per share for most of the previous month and climbed to 16 pence and closed at 15.55 pence on Thursday (July 30).
