Digital Logic's Kunz becomes VP of PC/104 Consortium

LONDON — Felix Kunz, CEO and chairman of Digital-Logic (Luterbach, Switzerland) has been elected to the vice-presidency of the PC/104 Consortium.

Kunz will represent the consortium in Europe while the president, Jim Blazer from RTD Embedded Technologies Inc., will represent the interests of the consortium in the U.S.

Apart from the public relations work for the PC/104, established in 1992 and representing an extremely long-life embedded form factor, Kunz will also work for the integration of the PCI-Express into the PC/104, EBX and EPIC embedded computer form factor specifications.

The combination of PCI/104-Express peripheral cards with EBX-Express and EPIC-Express will include, for example, 1-GBit-Ethernet-LAN-cards, ExpressCard-Adapters, 4 to 16 times frame grabbers, two SATA cards, an MXM-adapter with ATi-X2400- high speed graphics processor and various power supply devices.
