HAARDWARE TOOLS: IP Thinking rolls full-featured Blackfin kit

IP Thinking A/S of Denmark, has launched the IPT Shark537 development kit for the Analog Devices Blackfin 537 DSP. The kit, which is a "sandwich construction", comes with integrated FULL VGA 6.5" touch sensitive screen, 128 MB SD-RAM, serial flash, NAND flash, AC97 audio codec and PHY Ethernet receiver, as well as RJ 45 Ethernet connector, RJ 10 headset connector and USB connector.

On the software front, IPT Shark537 has pre-installed uCLinux as well as an image viewer, a music player, a Sip VoIP application. The kit also comes with a file viewer and a settings menu that provides control over all settings, including IP address, brightness and contrast, and volume. The IPT Shark537 is supported by a full bill of materials and application source code on the accompanying DVD. IP Thinking says that software should be free, and as such strives to make all of its software open source.
