EVE launches ZeBu-Personal emulator

EE Times Europe
PARIS — At the dawn of the Design Automation Conference (DATE) in Munich, Germany, Emulation and Verification Engineering SA (Palaiseau, France), a developer of hardware and software coverification tools, unveiled its ZeBu-Personal for system-on-chip (SoC) hardware verification and software development.

EVE claims ZeBu-Personal enables fast testing of hardware, hardware/software integration and embedded software validation. It is capable of handling design capacity up to five million ASIC logic gates and its memory capacity extends to two gigabits of gigabits of DDR2 DRAM and 512 megabit of SSRAM of memory.

EVE specified that ZeBu-Personal integrates its EVE's patented reconfigurable testbench which enables designers to perform memory and register read/write, continuous internal state capture and generate waveforms for Novas' waveform format FSDB, the standard Verilog waveform format VCD and Synopsys' waveform format VPD.

Based on Virtex5-LX330 FPGAs from Xilinx, ZeBu-Personal features a PCI Express card system and promises automated front-end compilation and run-time software.

Available now, Zebu-Personal is priced from $24,000.
