The TMS320LF2401AA DSP controller is designed for applications in which space savings and real-time capability are design requirements. Operating at 3.3V, it features 8Kwords of flash memory with code security, which is divided into two 4Kword sectors. Also available is 1Kwords of on-chip RAM, as well as ROM for boot-up into flash memory. Key peripherals include a 10-bit, five-channel ADC, an event manager, a serial communications interface, a watchdog timer, and 13 general-purpose input/output GPIO channels. The TMS320LF2401AA offers 40 MIPS performance. It's available now for $5.95 per unit.
