Crossware's 8051 development suite supports mixed signal controllers from Cygnal Integrated Products. The suite includes simulation and debugging features as well as compiler and assembler support. The Cygnal microcontrollers are based on a high-speed 8051 core. They include flash memory, analog and digital devices, as well as normal 8051 on-chip peripherals. Ten-bit and 120-bit ADCs are optional; DACs, comparators, timers, and other features are standard. The chips also include emulation circuitry. Accessed via a JTAG interface, this allows control of on-board memory and special function registers and provide run, halt, and single-step support. The 8051 development suite is available now.
