Version 3.5 of the MULTI 2000 integrated development environment features a simplified GUI and enhancements to the MULTI project builder. These enhancements let programmers recompile their applications from within the editor, should they encounter compilation errors during the build process. The environment also features a target connection wizard, which facilitates the definition of the debug connection between the host debugger and the target system. With the wizard, users select the target processor, the type of target connection (such as simulator, ICE, emulation probe, ROM monitor, and on-chip debug) and the physical connection media (Ethernet, USB, or RS-232C, for example). Users can also specify the speed of the target connection and the data format. MULTI 2000 is available now for Windows for $5,900. The MULTI 2000 IDE for Unix costs $9,900.
