Two- to four-channel scopes

Embedded Systems Design
The TDS1000 and the TDS2000 are two new families of oscilloscopes. The TDS2000 family features a color LCD display and is available in two- or four-channel versions. The five TDS2000 models operate with a bandwidth up to 200MHz and 2GS/s maximum sample rate. The TDS1000 family consists of two models. Both are two-channel instruments with a 1GS/s maximum sample rate and bandwidth up to 100MHz. Each unit includes a pair of P2200 200MHz 10X-1X switchable passive probes. Both families feature a Fast Fourier Transform function, as well as various triggering capabilities, including pulse-width triggering, line-selectable video triggering, and an external trigger. An autoset function offers automatic detection and a choice of different views of sine waves, square waves, and video signals, including rising and falling edges, video lines and fields, and FFT. The optional TDS2CMA communications module enables communication with other instruments, peripherals, or systems through an RS-232, GPIB, or parallel printer port. The TDS2000 and TDS1000 series oscilloscopes cost from $995 to $2,795. They're available now.
