The PMC-DAADIO PCI mezzanine card provides high-speed digital and analog I/O for controlling and monitoring a range of external functions. It incorporates an onboard Motorola DSP56F807 DSP, which enables it to manage external applications while reducing demands on the PMC host's processing capabilities. It provides eight differential analog input channels, as well as eight single-ended analog outputs, all of which operate at 12-bit resolution. The card also features 18 TTL digital I/O lines and counter/timer I/O.

The board targets applications with intensive digital and analog I/O requirements that operate in harsh environments. A conduction-cooled version of the PM-DAADIO features shock and vibration resistance, which makes it suitable for mobile applications.

Other features include a flash EPROM, an on-chip emulator port, a dual 4-channel A/D converter, an octal D/A converter, and a PLX98030 PCI target interface.
