Compared to other operating systems with similar capabilities it's not that bloated. Compared to tiny real-time operating systems it is.
I'm impressed by the fact that the lines of code reached in the meantime 12 million in a relatively short amount of time with not too many people added and not too many bugs introduced.
How do they do this? Maybe it's the law of many eyeballs which makes it work?
Can it be that simple?
