LONDON Fischer Connectors SA has moved its headquarters and primary production center to new facilities along the lake of Geneva in Saint-Prex, Switzerland.
the new facility is 10 km from its former location in Apples and 270 employees have now been relocated.
A three-levelled building has been been built on a 15,500sq m site which is designed to optimize production and logistic flows.
As part of the move Fischer replaced obsolete equipment and staff were trained on new material and work procedures. Manufacturing equipment that was moved have been re-calibrated and tested before production resumption.
The new factory is equipped with a high performance controlled temperature system, ensuring production performances stability and a dynamic storage system was installed to optimize warehouse management.
