128-Kbit serial EEPROM housed in 8-pin XDFN 0.40-mm package
San Jose, Calif.Atmel Corp. has developed a 128-Kbit serial EEPROM in an 8-pin XDFN package with an overall z-height of 0.40mm.
Building on Atmel's serial EEPROM DFN (Dual Footprint Non-leaded) portfolio, the XDFN package is aimed at applications that have stringent space constraints.
The 8-pin XDFN (1.8 x 2.2 x 0.40mm) package is now offered in 2-wire serial EEPROM (AT24) and SPI serial EEPROM (AT25) protocols: 2-wire serial EEPROM densities range from 1-Kbit to 128-Kbit and SPI densities range from 1-Kbit to 16-Kbit. Applications include headsets, Wireless LAN and Bluetooth modules.
The XDFN (1.8 x 2.2mm) package is now available in volume production in densities from 1-Kbit up to 128-Kbit in the 2-wire serial EEPROM (AT24) and from 1-Kbit to 16-Kbit in the SPI serial EEPROM (AT25) family. The 8-pin XDFN package is offered in Pb-Free (Green) / Halogen-Free and RoHS compliant packaging with a NiPdAu finish.
