3.5-in. QVGA TFT LCD suits next-generation media-rich handheld applications

In response to growing market demand for mobile multimedia devices with high brightness, low power consumption, and high color saturation, Sharp introduced the LQ035Q7DH06, a versatile 3.5-in. QVGA TFT-LCD. As a higher performance upgrade to the company's LQ035Q7DH01, this module features 225 nits of brightness from the six high-efficiency white LED backlights. The QVGA display also includes a high bright panel with transflective properties and 262,144 colors.

Designed using Sharp’s Advanced-TFT technology, this module offers 4% reflectivity, providing excellent contrast, color saturation, and readability in a wide range of ambient environments. The display also features an integrated touch panel that simplifies the design process by allowing design engineers to include a user interface. The panel only requires a Sharp-supplied ASIC timing control chip (part number LZ9FC23).

With both QVGA resolution and the versatility to perform well in a wide variety of ambient lighting conditions, this module is suited for mobile products with AV capabilities, such as portable media players, handheld gaming devices and portable DVD players.
