Adlink debuts full-size PICMG 1.3 system host board with Intel’s Q45 Express chipset

Adlink Technology launched the NuPRO-E320, its latest PICMG 1.3 full-sized system host board (SHB) supporting next-generation Intel Core2 Quad/Duo processors running at up to 3 GHz. Dual-channel DDR3 800/1066 MHz memory is supported up to a maximum of 8 Gbytes in two DIMM slots. Accompanied by the Intel Q45 Express Chipset with a 800/1066/1333-MHz front side bus, the NuPRO-E320 is suited for applications requiring high-performance computing and high data transfer speeds such as industrial control, automation, machine vision, intelligent transportation systems and telecommunications.

The board's PICMG 1.3 specification lets users take maximum advantage of the latest chipset functionalities, provides increased bandwidth capability, and allows flexible and simplified system design. The integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 provides built-in high performance graphics and also supports PCI Express add-on graphics cards and video capture cards for today's industrial vision applications such as automated optical inspection (AOI) and other digital imaging tasks. The NuPRO-E320 PICMG 1.3 SHB is fully compatible with Adlink's frame grabber cards.

The NuPRO-E320 provides a complete array of I/O, storage, and expansion options. It supports one PCI Express x16 and four PCI Express x1 (or one x4) links to the backplane. It also supports dual 10/100/1000-Mbit/s Ethernet for networking, 9x USB 2.0 ports, and 4x SATA 3-Gbit/s ports for other expansions. For data-protection, the NuPRO-E320 optionally supports Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 for secure storage of keys, passwords and digital certificates.
