Agilent Technologies Introduces Industry’s First Wireless Optical Mouse Reference Design

Agilent Technologies introduced the industry's first Universal Serial Bus (USB) wireless optical mouse reference design for PC pointing devices.

Agilent collaborated with Freescale Semiconductor to offer a cost-effective cordless optical mouse solution. The wireless optical mouse reference design is based on the Freescale MC68HC908JB12 USB microcontroller (MCU) and MC68HC908QY4 affordable MCU, with the power-efficient Agilent cordless optical mouse sensor.

The Agilent ADNS-2030 optical mouse sensor offers flexibility for optical mouse designs, with frame rates from 500 to 2,300 frames per second (faster frame rates are desirable for computer games), 400 or 800 count-per-inch resolution, and speeds up to 14 inches per second.
