Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) has set up a cooperative agreement with NMDG NV (Bornem, Belgium) to expand its network analysis portfolio of nonlinear measurement solutions.
NMDG delivers high-frequency measurement systems and services that characterise and analyze beyond S-parameters the behaviour of active high-frequency (HF) electrical components under realistic test conditions.
Advanced RF components and systems need to support complex modulation techniques and accommodate even wider transmission bandwidths. The goal is to achieve higher data throughput while simultaneously lowering power consumption.
“Network analysis that characterizes nonlinear effects allows RF components and systems to be optimized as early as possible in the design phase,” said Jörg Fries, Head of Product Management for Spectrum and Network Analysis at Rohde & Schwarz. “This is why semiconductor development engineers are increasingly interested in T&M solutions that can be used to reproducibly align the data gathered during characterization, modelling and simulation as well as from real-world measurement sequences.”
