LONDON — Trident has added the Powertip range of LCD modules and panels to its franchised portfolio of LCD solutions. Following the signing of the agreement, Trident (Salford, England) customers throughout Europe have access to the Powertip range of standard monochrome character and graphics LCD modules as well as having an extensive custom design service available to them. Martin Cobb, product manager at Trident, said, “Powertip is a leading manufacturer of diverse LCD technology and is fully equipped to handle the market needs for advanced technologies. This new agreement enables us to bring a custom display design service to our customers throughout mainland Europe for the first time and we are very much look forward to the new opportunities that this will bring.” Powertip employs 550 manufacturing and engineering personnel within their factories located in Taiwan and China.
