Altera Nios II core gets its own multiprocessor OS

Specifically designed for function-distributed multiprocessors, theTOPPERS/ FDMP kernel is an enhanced version of the TOPPERS/JSP kernel,a RTOS that complies with micron ITRON specifications. TOPPERS-ProMulti/FDMP also provides a micron ITRON-based API that streamlinesapplication development using function-distributed multiprocessors,leveraging the API's mature software facilities.
TOPPERS-Pro Multi/FDMP for the Nios II processor will be availablein early June and will include basic middleware, such as a TCP/IPprotocol stack and a fault-tolerant FAT file system that works withinthe Nios II integrated development environment.
A.I. Corp will be offering technical support, maintenance, andindemnity against the risk of intellectual property violations forTOPPERS-Pro Multi/FDMP. In addition, as well as an optional remote linkloader (RLL), which enables remote maintenance and field updates forthe TOPPERS-Pro Multi/FDMP.
