LONDON After barely more than a year in the North American market, Amino Communications, the U.K.-based IPTV (IP television) systems and software supplier, is tripling its U.S. office space as a result of rapid sales growth and an expanding workforce.
Amino (Cambridge, U.K.) currently employs ten staff in the USA and this figure is set to expand after the move to the new 5000 square foot facility in Atlanta.
At the end of May 2005, it had a backlog of 328,000 set-top boxes, and 11 customers each had over 10,000 unit installations. Furthermore, the company's products had been adopted for field trials by 144 operators worldwide.
Roy Kirsopp, CEO of Amino Communications LLC, said, “We have experienced tremendous success in the US in the year or so since we established our presence here. However, to cope with this ever-increasing demand and offer full applications and customer support, we need to take on a lot more staff. When Amino opened its Atlanta offices in May 2004 it had a staff of just three which has now risen to ten, so the move is essential”.
