BRIGHTON, England Amplicon Liveline has been selected as the U.K. factory authorised distributor for Acromag, the U.S. based manufacturer of measurement and control products for process and automation. It will supply the range of distributed I/O and signal conditioning modules.
Amplicon has previously provided the A5B modules and the addition of the BusWorks distributed I/O range gives customers access to an expanded network capability, improved performance, and lower costs per channel.
Donald Lupo, director of marketing & sales for Acromag, said, “We are extremely pleased to have formed this partnership with Amplicon to market our products. With their expertise in this area we feel they are an ideal distributor for us in the UK.”
The latest BusWorks series brings Ethernet communications, built in web pages, and Internet browser configuration with 15 different models that accept signals from a number of different sensors and devices. Measurement of variables such as temperature, voltage and current is possible, while analogue output and digital I/O modules complete the range.
The Intellipack 800 and 600 series offer a variety of signal conditioning modules which provide analogue output signals to use with control systems and other analogue input devices.
Amplicon has also promoted Gina Citroni to its board of directors. Previously commercial manager, Citroni joined the company as purchasing manager three years ago.
Richard Edwards, managing director of Amplicon, said, “Gina's new position reflects her very significant contribution to our recent success, and the large part we believe she will take in the continuing growth of Amplicon Liveline.”
