LONDON Austria Microsystems (AMS), a designer and manufacturer of analogue Ics, has appointed Stevenaged-based 2001 Electronic Components to handle the United Kingdom and Ireland distribution of its standard semiconductor product range.
Austria Microsystems is focused on expanding its ASSP and standard linear product range with innovative ASSPs targeting a variety of applications in industrial control, communications and automotive markets and standard linear products suitable for a broad range of electronic devices.
Carlo Rebughini, head of sales at AMS, said, “We believe that the agreement will enhance Austria Microsystems' visibility and customer base in the UK and Ireland. 2001's focus on working closely with the engineering community mirrors AMS' worldwide market approach.”
Roy Greer, managing director of 2001, added, “Austria Microsystems extends our range of analogue products into a broader base of innovative solutions. It's great to have another leadership line onboard”.
Cheryl Jones, who has been appointed as the line manager for AMS, said, “We already have some important design programmes in place and it is clear that AMS have some creative solutions for analogue design engineers.
