LONDON Fujitsu Ltd has opened a European business support center for its optical components in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The company is also creating a new sales support organization in Singapore to handle the Asian market and already has a support centre in San Jose, California.
The two sales support sites began operations on Aug 1 and the company expects the move to significantly expand its sales of optical components products worldwide.
Fujitsu's optical components includes 300pin multi-source agreement (MSA) transponders, 10 Gigabit small form factor pluggable (XFP) and small form factor pluggable (SFP) MSA transceivers, optical transceivers for PON, Lithium Niobate (LN) external modulators, and a variable chromatic dispersion compensator using virtually imaged phased array (VIPA) technology.
Technical support for optical components products will be also be provided by the specialized business support centers in the U.S. and Europe.
