LONDON Anglia has signed a franchise agreement with Hitachi Displays Group to market its range of industrial LCDs in the UK.
The agreement is designed to help Hitachi achieve greater penetration into the industrial market as its European sales manager, Steve Dyson explained, “Displays are one of the fastest growing areas for the UK components industry and they are appearing in an ever-more diverse range of industrial applications. Anglia has a particularly strong industrial customer base and we see a great opportunity for them to achieve long-term growth in this market with our products.”
Hitachi's monochrome and colour graphic LCDs range from 2.6in to 10.4in and include long life cold fluorescent light (CFL) and high brightness white LED backlights, and touch panel options. Hitachi's 5.in QVGA line up provides mechanical compatibility throughout the monochrome STN, colour STN and TFT units.
Lee Nye, Anglia's marketing director, said, “We already have a dedicated business manager for displays and are adding a full-time FAE to support the Hitachi line, plus additional internal sales resources. The products are complementary to our existing display technologies and will improve our ability to deliver the optimum display solution for each application.”
