Gene armstrong

Gene Armstrong, Sr Dir Applications Development at The Paper Battery Company, has over 30 years of experience in executive management, product development and product design at some of the world’s leading semiconductor companies including MAXIM, TI, Benchmarq and Sharp. As a business unit executive at MAXIM Integrated Products he had P&L responsibility for three product lines with cumulative annual revenue of $122M. Previously his product development work resulted in EDN Product of the Year, ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS Product of the Year and AnalogZone Product of the Year award winning mixed-signal devices in the fields of battery management, consumer, and industrial instrumentation. As mixed-signal engineer, Gene designed multiple products for the telecommunications and consumer segments resulting in an intimate knowledge of semiconductor and battery technology, design methodologies and team management. As well as being knowledgeable in M&A activities resulting from the IPO of Benchmarq Microelectronics in 1995 and the acquisition of Vitesse Storage products in 2007, Gene is well versed in patent prosecution having knowledge of both statutory requirements and applicable technology. He received his BSEE/Cum Laude and MSEE from the University of California at Irvine.
