LONDON Wiring systems specialist Tekdata Interconnection has appointed Roy Blake as New Business Development Manager Worldwide for the company's Cryoconnect Division.
Blake has been with the company for 24 years and continues to be based at the company's headquarters in Burslem, Stoke. Reporting to the managing director, his responsibilities include planning, managing, and developing new markets to build on the Cryoconnect Division's success since its implementation in 2000.
The appointment is the latest in the development of the Cryoconnect Division as it continues to build its team of engineers and technicians; a rigorous training program has been incorporated, involving both assembly and inspection practices to ESA (European Space Agency) approvals (ESS-Q20 ECSS-Q-70), to bolster the team's skills in order to meet the exacting demands unfolding within the sciences associated with the cryogenics industry.
Cryoconnect successfully achieved 'NASA Approved Supplier' status with JPL NASA, and completed delivery of flight qualified harnesses for both the SPIRE and HFI instruments on the Herschel Space Observatory platform.
