It's Monday morning, the unofficial first day of the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in Silicon Valley. Lots of classes will be starting today, but the “official” start is tomorrow, at 10:30 with the keynote presentation. I've got lots of meetings today, but I'm hoping to sneak out for a couple of hours to attend some of the classes/workshops.
Later this afternoon, we've got a rehearsal for the keynote, and it's definitely going to be a doozy (the keynote, not the rehearsal). As I said last week, we have a special guest flying in, and I'm know that I'm very anxious to meet him.
My day will conclude with dinner with one of the prominent vendors, followed by another dinner hosted by the Small Form Factor Special Interest Group (SFF-SIG). I'm hoping to catch the tail end of the SFF presentation. They were also anxious to have me there because I gave them a less-than-rosy review when I first heard about the formation of the group a few months ago. I'll give them an opportunity to change my mind.
See you at the show!
