The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is moving its headquarters from Kansas City to the Seattle, Wash. area. Based on its proximity to key international markets, growing wireless infrastructure, and the presence of many Bluetooth member companies, Bellevue, Wash. will house the SIG's global headquarters.
With additional operations in Malmo, Sweden and Hong Kong, and members in 78 countries around the globe, the Pacific Northwest will act as a global gateway for staff and members traveling in and out of the region. The neighboring city of Seattle is recognized as one of the most unwired cities in the U.S. and in March 2006 will be home to the annual Bluetooth SIG All Hands Meeting.
