Certification program for LonMark interoperability

The LonMark Interoperability Association is now offering LonMark Sponsor and Partner members no charge certifications.

The new program is designed to accelerate and streamline the product certification process and to increase the catalog of LonMark certified products. Making product certifications an intrinsic benefit of membership is expected to boost the LonMark Association which has over 300 members.

The LonMark logo will be on certified products based on Echelon's LonWorks device networking platform. It will indicate product that have been designed and tested to interoperate over a LonWorks network.

Members will receive a number of free-certifications, based on their membership type, which will increase as a function of years of continuous membership.

All Partner Members will receive two free-certifications in their first year of membership. One additional free certification will be added in each subsequent and continuous year of membership with a maximum of five free certifications in any given year. Sponsor Members will receive four free-certifications in their first year of membership. One additional free certification will also be added in each subsequent and continuous year of membership with the maximum of ten free certifications in any given year.

The LonMark Interoperability Association was set up in 1994 has become a major driving force in the establishment of interoperable guidelines for building, industrial, transportation and residential/utility automation.
