Cherry hits keyboard landmark in Czech
LONDON Cherry Electrical Products 25 millionth NTK keyboard has just come off the production line in the Czech Republic.
Released in 1993, the NTK provides reliability of up to 50 million strokes per key with no additional software required to connect keyboard to computer.
The NTK uses a metal sheet and membrane with a metal plate in the base to increase endurance. The models are now produced in black, white, USB and PS/2 with standard lettering, extra large characters for those with poor eye-sight, as well as lower case-lettering for children in primary schools learning to write.
