LONDON COE Group, a CCTV transmission and control systems provider, has signed an outsourcing deal with GSPK Electronics.
COE (Leeds, U.K.) specialises in the design and supply of high quality complete CCTV transmission and control systems, and supplies bespoke solutions. Its products are used in locations such as airports, city centres, government buildings and other commercial premises as far a field as Asia, Europe and the USA.
GSPK Electronics (Knaresborough, U.K.) will produce COEs range of analogue and digital fibre transmission electronics that are used for transmitting very high quality video pictures for security systems. COE systems provide video surveillance in the Singapore Metro, Stade de France and a numerber of U.K. city centres.
Sales of £5.6million in 2004, an expanding order book and changing product range have led COE to a seek to outsource manufacturing to ensure flexibility and increased capacity. COE selected two suppliers to share its manufacturing requirements. DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary was retained to advise COE on the most appropriate structure and negotiate the best possible outsourcing terms for the company.

The business has built a great reputation, and this will see the company able to focus on its market leading design and service with more flexibility and without the constraints of limited production capacity.
