PARIS French Electronic System Level (ESL) company CoFluent Design has introduced version 2.2 of its CoFluent Studio, a system modeling and simulation toolset. Available in the first quarter of 2008, version 2.2 is claimed to add modeling capabilities for wireless, telecommunications and networking systems.
CoFluent Design (Nantes, France) explains that dynamic function management enables modeling multiple use-cases that can be dynamically activated and stopped according to scenarios. Dynamic function management also represents dynamic thread management behavior and is adapted to model and simulate the lifecycle of threads and processes that are dynamically created and stopped in embedded real-time software applications.
“These dynamic management features are essential to model behaviors of systems that adapt to their changing environment, such as a mobile terminal switching from a 3G, WiFi or Wimax network depending on its geographical location,” commented Jean-Paul Calvez, CoFluent Design’s CTO. “Applications such as software-defined radio can’t be modeled without dynamic management functions, as proven in recent beta customer experiences.”
Earlier this month, CoFluent reported a 71-percent annual revenue growth for fiscal year 2007, ending Dec. 31. The French company claimed it doubled its customer base including world top-10 wireless and multimedia devices or chips manufacturers.
