Collaboration eases Bluetooth design-in

Cambridge, UK — CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) and Accelerated Technology have collaborated to add support for the Nucleus Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) embedded in wireless applications. CSR has ported its BlueCore Host software (BCHS) to the Nucleus PLUS real-time kernel and the Nucleus NET TCP/IP networking protocol stack.

With the port to the Nucleus software, BCHS will provide developers with a route to integrated Bluetooth for mobile devices using the RTOS.

Robert Day, director of marketing, Mentor Graphics Embedded SystemsDivision, explained, ” Because of the penetration of BlueCore in the Bluetooth silicon market and the penetration of the Nucleus software in the cellular phone market, bringing CSR's BCHS support into the Nucleus software was a clear choice for us.”
