CompactPCI computer boards feature low-power Pentium M CPUs

Adlink Technology's latest 6U CompactPCI boards, the cPCI-6841 and cPCI-6842, combine Intel’s low-power Pentium M processor with the 855GME and two different I/O controller hubs. The Pentium M has a highly efficient instruction execution unit and is coupled with a large L2 cache. Hence, it can outperform other processors at the same clock speed. The 855GME has an integrated 250-MHz 32-bit 3D/2D graphics engine that's capable of supporting simultaneous CRT and flat-panel displays. A plethora of peripherals includes Serial ATA 150, PATA, USB 2.0, a watchdog timer, and a serial port.

Both boards feature dual Gigabit Ethernet; 32-bit, 33-MHz CompactPCI; a 32-bit, 33-MHz PMC site; and a host of front-panel I/O. The cPCI-6841 adds two DDR 333 SO-DIMM (2 Gbytes max.). The cPCI-6842 employs two DDR 333 DIMM (also 2 Gbytes max.). For more information, contact Adlink at www.adlinktech.com.
