LONDON Marianne Culver, who until late 2002 was president of Avnet’s European semiconductor distribution arm Silica, has joined Premier Farnell as group director for Global Supplier Marketing. Culver will be based in London and takes immediate responsibility for the company’s Global Supplier Accounts team.
Having started her career with Macro Marketing (latterly SEI Macro Group,) in the UK, Culver rose to become group managing director and later senior vice president of marketing, EMEA. She became a corporate vice president of Avnet Inc and, in 2001, was appointed president of Avnet's subsidiary, Silica EMEA.
At Premier Farnell Culver will include creating a global supplier communication strategy for the group and assisting the business in developing 'best in class' product offerings and excellent value propositions for customers.
