LONDON DEK, which supplies pre-placement manufacturing solutions and deposition technologies for a range of electronic materials is expanding its global manufacturing capavity by 34%. This includes expansion in both China and Weymouth in Dorset, where DEK was founded in 1968.
It is now part of the Dover Corporation which is comprised of over 50 individual businesses with sales of $5.5billion and 28,000 employees.
Richard Heimsch, president of DEK International, said, “The market response to our new Micron-class platform and the resulting demand increases are proof positive of DEK’s ability to anticipate our customers’ future manufacturing technology requirements.”
The Micron-class platform includes the Galaxy and Europa mass imaging system which have fueled the need for the capacity expansion and, says the company, created an increased industry demand for high-end printing systems.
