DESIGN West – VersaLogic’s high reliability Mini PCIe modules

VersaLogic Corp. has announced a new portfolio of Mini PCIe modules that provide a simple, economical, standardized way to add I/O and storage functions to embedded computer products. Unlike typical expansion boards, Mini PCIe allows additional functions to be added to a system with almost no increase in overall package size. The new modules are designed for high reliability in demanding environments. They are all rated for operation over the full industrial temperature range (-40º to +85ºC), and for high shock and vibration (MIL-STD-202G).

All of VersaLogic’s modules are designed and tested for industrial temperature (-40º to +85ºC) operation and meet MIL-STD-202G specifications to withstand high impact and vibration. Latching connectors provide additional protection within harsh environments. All are manufactured to IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards. Class 3 assembly is optionally available for most modules where extreme reliability is required.

The Mini PCIe modules include:
Analog Input with eight analog input channels;
One Gigabit Ethernet Interface ;
Serial + GPIO ;
SATA Adapter ;
GPS Receiver , with support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS;
AES Encrypted Solid-State Drive , including 8 and 32 GB models;
Wi-Fi , supporting Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n;
mSATA Drive , with 4, 16, and 32 GB models.

VersaLogic’s Mini PCIe modules are RoHS compliant and include VersaLogic's 5+ year product life guarantee for long lifecycle applications. Customization options include conformal coating, IPC Class 3 assembly, application-specific testing, BOM revision locks, etc.
