Development kit aids in creation of network-connected devices

Minnetonka, Minn. — Digi International introduced the Digi Connect ME JumpStart Kit for Microsoft .NET Micro Framework. The kit aids engineers in developing network-connected devices and is suitable for industrial automation, building automation, point-of-sale, and medical applications. The Digi Connect ME JumpStart Kit includes the 32-bit network co-processor module, a development/carrier board, samples and documentation for evaluation and development as well as a plug-and-play firmware option which eliminates software development effort.

Other features include a family of interchangeable and pin-compatible solutions, 2/4 MB Flash and 8 MB RAM, a serial interface with up to 230 Kbits/s throughput, 5 shared GPIO port options and 10/100 Mbit Ethernet or 802.11b WLAN with WPA2/802.11i. It also has an industrial operating temperature of -40°C to 85°C and an FCC, Class B low-emission design.
