DeVry students first to benefit from scholarship program
Twenty students at DeVry University have each received $1,000 scholarships from Tektronix Inc. and Fluke Corp. The 2011 awards are the first under a $100,000 donation by the two companies for a five-year scholarship program to the DeVry University Education Fund to help create opportunities for engineering students.
The 20 scholarship recipients were selected from more than 125 applicants and come from across the US, including Colorado, Washington, Florida and Georgia.
Selected by the university, the students are sophomores or juniors, studying in the electronics & computer technology or electronics engineering technology programs, hold at least a 3.0 GPA and submitted an essay answering the question “How do you believe your degree will help you succeed and meet your career goals?”
