LONDON Former Sony Ericsson executive, Roger D. Dewey, has joined Telit and will be responsible for establishing U.S.-based operations focused on sales, marketing, business development, customer support and services, and regulatory certifications for Telit in North and Latin America.
The Wireless Solutions Business Unit at Telit develops, produces and sells GSM/GPRS modules such as solutions for machine-to-machine communication (M2M).
“Telit listens very closely to the market and offers products which meet the expectations of their customers in terms of functional requirements and pricing. Unlike the more common approach of focusing on its own technology, Telit is flexible and accommodating of users’ needs and always acts very confidently. Working for Telit is refreshing and a really interesting challenge for me,” said Dewey.
“The Americas M2M market is vibrant and hungry for options at this point. We will focus our efforts in establishing the Telit brand and building rapport with the market by making the customer success our number one priority.” Dewey has held senior management positions in the areas of strategy, sales, and marketing at Sony Ericsson’s M2M business unit and at Ericsson’s Mobile Internet before that. Dewey was Sony Ericsson’s vice president of product and business strategy for the company’s M2M Business Unit while from late 2001, he was vice president, The Americas at Sony Ericsson M2M.
Previous to his time at Sony Ericsson, Dewey was vice president & general manager, marketing and sales for Ericsson’s Mobile Internet Application Business Unit in Stockholm, Sweden.
