London, UK DT Electronics has expanded its power electronics portfolio through a franchise agreement with Semtech for its range of power management devices includes linear and switching regulators, voltage detectors, LDOs, transient voltage suppressors, hot-swap controllers and MOSFET drivers.
Tony Frere, managing director at DT Electronics, said, “Semtech is a recognised and respected name in the power electronics business. Their products are a very good fit with our present range of power components and power supplies from CTC, Lambda, Ricoh, Synqor and N2Power.”
Nick Anderson, sales manager at Semtech, said, “We wanted a focused, local, semiconductor-oriented distributor to help with demand-creation, one with the ability to act autonomously in supporting customers' design programmes. Together with DT, we are looking for power management and protection opportunities in new markets like security and broadcast systems. DT Electronics will complement our broadline distributor and will work closely with our manufacturers' representative, Pulsar Electronics.'
DT Electronics expects first year sales of Semtech products to reach £250,000.
