Scope family additions offer lower price, high-end features

Tektronix has announced the 3 Series MDO and 4 Series MSO oscilloscopes, offering a lower price point for its Series MDO family while retaining high-end features. The new scopes feature high-resolution displays and an intuitive touchscreen interface designed to simplify use without compromising capabilities. The combination of their intuitive interface and high-performance capabilities enable developers to more easily perform the complex series of measurements associated with today's designs comprising digital, analog, and RF circuitry.

Both the 3 Series and 4 Series offer an extensive set of features including a protocol analyzer, arbitrary function generator, and spectrum analyzer, but the 4 Series incorporates Tektronix's custom analog front-end ASICs, supporting the company's Spectrum View capability recently announced as an upgrade to the Tektronix 5 Series and 6 Series scopes. Spectrum View allows developers to view independent time and frequency domain measurements on the family's high-resolution displays. 

Available now, the 3 Series MDO is priced from $3,850 (US) and the 4 Series MSO is priced from $7,550 (US) including a standard three-year warranty and passive probes for both.
