Displacement sensors support high-temperature applications
Kaman Precision Products launched its Extreme Environment line of high-precision displacement sensors and systems for high-accuracy applications. They’re also suited for high-temperature applications, thanks to a rugged, all-welded and hermetic construction.
The sensors are available in three different specialized systems - high pressure, low temperature, and high-temperature conditions. Thanks to a dual-coil sensor design, the effects of temperature are decreased. The “Extreme Environment” sensors and systems work at temperatures of -320°F to +1000°F (+1200°F short term). Displacement systems can withstand pressures of up to 5000 psi.
