LONDON Enea has expanded its strategic relationship with LSI Corp. and under the new agreement, Enea will optimize the Enea OSEck real-time operating system, Enea LINX interprocessor communication services and Enea Optima Development Tools for use on next-generation LSI StarPro products.
At present the two companies jointly support Enea (Kista, Sweden) software on the LSI (Milpitas, Calif.) StarPro SP2600 family of multicore processors.
The jointly developed platform should enable OEMs to use a single platform to develop a range of solutions from enterprise applications to high-density cores and wireless gateways.
The terms of the existing relationship were expanded to allow LSI to distribute Enea software on its DSP platforms for telecom infrastructure equipment. LSI also secured the right to build on and resell Enea OSEck, the Enea LINX platform and Enea Optima Development Tools for LSI StarPro processors.
