LONDON A £5million U.K. headquarters has been opened by the Ensinger plastic distribution and precision engineering company at Tonyrefail, South Wales.
The new site will enable the company to create 48 additional jobs and now employs 100 people at the facility which also houses a dedicated facility producing engineering and high performance plastic components.
The official opening was carried out by owner Wilfried Ensinger’s wife Martha, and the Honorary German Consul in Wales, Helga Rother-Simmonds, was also in present.
Wilfreid Ensinger said, “Innovation has been the key to our growth in the U.K., and particularly here in Wales. We manufacture engineering and high performance plastics for a very wide range of applications. They are made from new materials that find their way into new applications that were previously either impossible to achieve, or very expensive due to reliance on metals or ceramics.”
The company produces a range of extruded, cast and compression moulded semi-finished parts made from more than 100 different plastics and now employs over 200 at its seven U.K. facilities. It also provides bespoke parts for clients – from the creation of complex single parts to the production of structural components.
Ensinger GmbH is based in Nufringen in Germany are was set up in 1966,establishing a U.K. operation in December 1987.
