MUNICH, Germany Jetter AG (Ludwigsburg, Germany), a vendor of stored program control devices, now includes a programmable Ethernet interface for its JetControl products. The interface allows programmers to exchange data among terminal devices on application level.
The Ethernet interface is supported by Jetter's JetSym STX programming language. It enables programs to directly talk to a broad range of terminal devices such as electronic scales, industrial cameras, measurement equipment or power supplies. The JetControl operating system contains functions that allow for initialization and configuration of the Ethernet interface, enabling programmers to set parameters such as time-out for communication or to configure TCP and UDP communication parameters.
Additional functions support sending and reading of data. The application software then can read in and process these data.
